Our roofing department is engaged in all types of commercial and industrial roofing, including traditional built up roof, SBS modified roofing mop applied, single ply roofing both EPDM and TPO, metal roofing, asphalt shingles, slate, and all types of specialty roofing. Over half of our annual volume is in reroofing where we make recommendations for replacing a roof, and plan a project for the least possible inconvenience to the owner. We are approved roofing contractors for most leading roof materials manufacturers, and can issue extended warranties for our work. A separate division within the roofing department, managed by Kevin Yoworski, handles roof repairs. This group of people has the ability to find a roof leak, and fix it, on all types of roofing.

Tommy is the grandson and great grandson of founders of the company. He is a graduate of NC State University with an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill. He joined HIW in 1973 and became President in 1982. He is the general manager of the company and manages the roofing department.
